Your 24/7 NOWCAST: Strong winds will continue for the next few hours as winds continue to be sustained from 20 to 30mph with gusts over 50mph. Elsewhere in the region, high winds will subside after 11pm. Temperatures will remain mild through the night.
Your 24/7 Synopsis: Mild temperatures will remain over the front range through Thursday. A series of storms will sweep across the mountains on a fast northwesterly flow aloft. These storms will usher in plenty of snow to the northern and central mountains, but the moisture will be exhausted by the time it reaches eastern Colorado. The next cold front will pass across the plains on Friday bringing a slight chance of light snow to the metro area.
METRO DENVER: Tonight: Continued windy early, then decreasing toward daybreak with mild lows in the 40s.
Thursday: Partly cloudy, breezy at times, and even milder with highs in the low 60s and lows in the low 30s.
Friday: Colder with some flurries. Highs in the 30s and lows in the teens.
Saturday: Clearing up and mostly sunny with highs in the 40s and lows in the 20s.
EASTERN PLAINS: Tonight: Breezy at times with scattered clouds and lows in the 30s and 40s.
Thursday: Mostly sunny and mild with highs in the upper 5o near 60 and lows in the upper teens.
Friday: Colder with some flurries. Highs in the 30s and lows in the teens.
Saturday: Clearing up and mostly sunny with highs in the 40s and lows in the upper teens.
MOUNTAINS: Tonight: Mostly cloudy with periods of snow and high winds. Lows from 0 to 20 above.
Thursday: Partly sunny with highs in the mid 30s and lows in the mid teens with a slight chance of snow overnight.
Friday: Colder with snow. Highs in the 20s and lows in the single digits.
Saturday: Clearing up becoming mostly sunny. Highs in the low 20s with a low around 5.
WESTERN SLOPE: Tonight: Partly cloudy and breezy with flurries possible. Lows in the 30s
Thursday: Mostly sunny and with highs in the mid 30s and lows in the mid teens.
Friday: Windy with a chance for flurries. Highs in the 30s and lows in the teens.
Saturday: Clearing up and mostly sunny with highs in the mid 30s and lows in the teens.
Your 24/7 Planning Forecast:
Temperatures will warm into the mid 50s to low 60s Thursday. A cold front will bring some colder weather and light snow by Friday. The storm track next week will bring several storms through the state. However, the storms will be moving in from the northwest. This direction will produce plenty of mountain snow, but the downsloping winds will keep the plains partly to mostly sunny and dry.

The Climate Prediction Center's forecast for the next 8-14 days is calling for near average temperatures and precipitation for Colorado.
