DENVER -- The first day of April was a perfect example of how Colorado weather can be so crazy. The morning started off beautifully, with sun and clear blue skies. By the afternoon, dark clouds loomed on the horizon and before we knew it, we were in the middle of a thunderstorm -- complete with heavy snow, thunder and sometimes, graupel -- a combination of snow and hail.
So what is the weather like where you live? Upload your picture using the form below. In the photo caption field, be sure to tell us when and where you took the photo.PHOTOGRAPHY TIPSWhen taking a weather picture, try getting about 40 percent terrain and 60 percent sky as your subject. Please rotate your photos to the proper orientation before uploading. Photos on their side will not be accepted in the slideshow.Try taking pictures with a horizontal orientation instead of a vertical orientation. Think of your television set, if this is hard to visualize. In order to get a vertical picture on television we have to stretch it to fit the screen. In most cases, this distorts the subject. You are still welcome to upload pictures with a vertical orientation, but we might not be able to make it work for television. The best size to upload is 640x480 pixels. Thanks for watching 7NEWS and visiting TheDenverChannel.com -- keep those awesome pictures coming!
