Corey Christiansen

Weekend Meteorologist

Corey Christiansen is a meteorologist who loves a good snow storm!

He grew up in Salt Lake City, Utah and always looked forward to winter when everything turned white.

Corey started his career in 2002 at KREX-TV in Grand Junction, Colo., working as the weekend weather anchor and a weekday reporter. He moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2003 and reported for three years at KAPP-TV in Yakima, Wash.. Corey still did backup weather anchoring though and knew that's where he wanted to spend most of his time. In 2006, Corey moved to Kennewick, Wash. and became the Chief Meteorologist for KVEW-TV.

Now, he is back in Colorado forecasting weather for Channel 7. He joined the weather team in December 2008.

Corey completed the Broadcast Meteorology program at Mississippi State Univeristy in 2008. He is a member of the American Meteorological Society and the National Weather Association. He also earned a bachelor's degree in Broadcast Journalism from BYU.

In his spare time, Corey loves to watch movies, work out, and spend as much time as possible with his wife, Monica.
