A strong storm system brought rain, hail, snow and wind to Colorado on the first full day of fall.

The 24-hour rain totals have ranged from over 1.5 inches in western Colorado to a few hundreths of an inch along the Front Range.

Clouds, wind and snow caused a few problems with traffic over mountain passes Monday morning.

Showers are possible through the night with more mountain snow and very cold overnight lows in the mountain valleys where a Freeze Watch has been posted overnight. The low in Denver will drop to around 40 degrees Monday night under clearing skies and light wind.

A quick warm up is in store for the rest of the week with dry, northwesterly wind and highs in the 60s and 70s.
