Saturday -- May 17, 2008

Your 24/7 Synopsis:
The weekend weather will be clear and warm as a high pressure ridge moves into the state. Highs in Denver will climb into the 80s by Sunday and close to 90-degrees on Tuesday. By the middle of next week, the high pressure will move east, and cool moist air will bring another chance for showers and thunderstorms Wednesday through Friday.

Your 24/7 Planning Forecast:
A big ridge of high pressure will move in over the weekend, steering the storms away from Colorado for several days. Warm temperatures, sunny skies and delightful May weather will hang around through early next week. It looks like our next opportunity for showers and thunderstorms will come on Wednesday, but our long range forecast models aren't quite clear on how much rainfall we'll get.

Extended Outlook, 8 to 14 days:
The latest extended forecast for the next 8 to 14 days is for Colorado's temperatures to be slightly cooler than average. The precipitation forecast is calling for slightly above-average rainfall.
