A motorcyclist is dead following a crash with a semi-truck on Santa Fe Drive in Englewood Monday afternoon, authorities said.
Officers were responding to an injury accident in the 3000 block of Santa Fe Drive at around 2 p.m. when they found a 22-year-old motorcyclist on the road with serious injuries. He was later declared dead at the scene.
Both the semi-truck and the motorcyclist were driving south on Santa Fe when the crash took place. No other details about the crash were immediately available to Denver7.
Santa Fe Drive is closed southbound between Evans Avenue and Dartmouth Avenue. Traffic is backing up on Interstate 25.
Southbound Santa Fe is expected to be back open at around 6 p.m.
