DENVER -- A five-block stretch of Mississippi Avenue is being closed for a week in Denver.
Mississippi closed Tuesday morning from Broadway to Santa Fe Drive for storm sewer improvements and utility work, according to Denver Public Works.
During the closure, traffic will be detoured to West Alameda to the north and West Iowa to the south.
Mississippi is scheduled to reopen next Tuesday, October 4.
