HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. -- One year ago Tuesday, Kevin and Nanci Goldin were rushing from their Highlands Ranch home to Rose Medical Center.Nanci was in labor as her husband negotiated the T-REX construction zone in the car, knowing that her contractions were coming closer and closer together.By the time they got to the Evans exit, Nanci was delivering Samantha.
Kevin pulled over and called 911, but Samantha Goldin was born before he could even get Nanci's car door open.To commemorate her birth near the Evans exit, little Samantha is getting an Evans street sign from T-REX workers.Nanci said that she and her husband considered changing Samantha's name to Evans, but they decided against it.
