This week the Colorado Department of Transportation will host two public meetings to talk about the upcoming construction project on US 285 between Federal Boulevard and Kipling Parkway.

The $40.1 million project will reconstruct approximately four miles of Hampden Avenue and replace three structurally deficient bridges at Wadsworth Boulevard, Pierce Street and Federal Boulevard.

“In mid-January 2010, construction will begin along this corridor and we want to make sure that residents, businesses and commuters are prepared,” said CDOT Project Manager Tony Gross. “This week’s meetings will give people an opportunity to find out more about the project and ask questions of the project team.”

Both meetings will take place from 6 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with a formal presentation at 6:15 p.m.

  • Wednesday, December 2nd at Bear Creek High School- 9800 West Dartmouth Place in Lakewood.
