I-225 Reopened After Emergency Repair

DENVER -- Southbound Interstate 225 at Interstate 25 was closed for several hours Monday afternoon for an emergency repair, the Colorado Department of Transportation said.Crews had to repair a sign at Tamarac that was in danger of falling down. The closure began at 1 p.m. and ended at 2:45 p.m.Drivers were encouraged to avoid the area and take alternate routes.
CDOT had hoped to have repairs completed and the road open to traffic by 5 p.m.
