BOULDER, Colo. - A new tool to make travel safer for women and children.
A Boulder-based startup plans to use smartphones to track users while they make their way home late at night or after school.
It's called "PingWhen" and it sends a message to a friend upon arrival at a destination or an alert, complete with GPS location, when the user is missing.
The app knows your travel time and when you're late, it asks if you still need to be tracked.
