We all have a list of things we want to do -- goals we want to accomplish in life. Some of those goals, we keep private. But an online community has sprung up, showing how it could be fun to share your goals with others.

The site 43Things.com invites you to list 43 things that you want to do with your life. (It's a random number, they think if you list any more that's too much, and if you want to list fewer, you can.)

The idea is that if you write your goals down, you'll be one step closer to achieving your aspirations.

Also, if you tell others about your goals and you're linked to others with the same interests, you'll find people who share the same goals as you do. So if everyone is posting comments about their progress or about how they reached that goal -- you begin to build an online community based upon shared dreams.

Even if you don't want to post your goals for all the world to see (privacy issues, too much pressure, etc.), you can browse the 35,000 things that 9,000 people want to do..

Tops on the list is to stop procrastinating, take more pictures and read more books.

And speaking of books, it turns out that Amazon.com has invested in this site and there are conspiracy theories about what the retail giant might do with a site like this and the information culled from it. (Want to drop 20 pounds? We have a book that will tell you how to do judy that!) But others say it may just be that Amazon is finally entering the arena of blogs, and is learn how to make money from online social networks.
