DUTIES: Collaborates with other Technology Specialists within KMGH-TV, Broadcasting and McGraw-Hill in support of IT systems at KMGH. Provides support for all Broadcast and Desktop applications within KMGH and Broadcasting. Leads Information Systems conversion and integration efforts for KMGH with McGraw-Hill. Duties include system level installation/administration/support for Active Directory, Network Security, WAN/LAN, and VPN; System level installation/support for broadcast systems (Avid iNews, GV Ignite, GV NewsEdit, Harris Automation, Weather Central System, Wide Orbit Traffic); Routine network activities to include server maintenance as well as backup and restore operations; User support for broadcast, business, internet, and news applications on the desktop and mobile devices.

REQUIREMENTS: Technical degree in Information Science, CS, Industry certifications, or equivalent skill gained through experience with 4+ years of experience in systems (hardware and software) support IT Technology competencies to include LAN/Networking installation and configuration; Voice/Data Convergence Technologies, Video Conferencing Tools, Routers, Switches, Wireless topology, TCP/IP etc. Broadcast Technology competencies to include video routing/switching, On-Air automation, Electronic Newsroom systems, Video Editing Systems, Graphic Art Systems, News Production Automation systems. Has a clear perspective on product technology, integration and interconnectivity. Strong analytical focus, results-oriented and execution driven, with the ability to align technology to create competitive advantages. Strong problem solving and root cause analysis skills, with the ability to identify learning opportunities, and improve current processes. Able to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing; able to create and maintain cross-division/segment relationships and foster collaboration. Strong organizational skills are needed for the tasks at hand; ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks. This is a seven-day a week, twenty-four hour per day operation. Irregular hours and scheduling can be expected. Days off and job assignments will vary.
