DENVER - With Thursday's matches complete, we now know all of the matchups for the Round of 16 in the World Cup.
Group G ended with Germany in first place and the U.S. in second, after Germany won the match between the two nations and Portugal beat Ghana but did not score enough goals to outrank the U.S. Group H was also resolved Thursday, with Belgium a distant first after beating South Korea and Algeria in second after a tie with Russia.
Therefore, Team USA will face Belgium in the Round of 16 on Tuesday, July 1 at 2 p.m. MT.
The second stage of the World Cup begins on June 28 with a 10 a.m. MT match between host nation Brazil and Chile. Also that day, Colombia will play Uruguay at 2 p.m. MT.
On June 29, the Netherlands will face Mexico at 10 a.m. and Costa Rica will match up against Greece at 2 p.m.
On June 30, France will take the field against Nigeria at 10 a.m. on June 30 and Germany will play Algeria at 2 p.m.
The 10 a.m. game on July 10 will be between Argentina and Switzerland, before the USA game at 2 p.m.
If the U.S. is victorious, they will play the winner of the Argentina and Switzerland match on July 5.
The other three matches in the quarterfinal round will be on July 4 and 5.
Because South Korea did not qualify for the next round, there are no Asian teams moving on in the tournament.
