Team USA trounces England in Lacrosse

COMMERCE CITY, Colo. - TeamUSA won its fourth-straight game Monday, trouncing England 20-1 in the International Lacrosse World Championship at Dick's Sporting Goods Park.

The loss drops England to 0-4.

Seven U.S. players scored at least two goals and attackmen Kevin Leveille and Marcus Holman each scored three goals. Rob Pannell finished with two goals and two assists. Adrian Bennett had the lone goal for England.

"We thought we'd be better than England and we were," Team USA coach Richie Meade said. "We have a very big game (Tuesday) against the Iroquois … Overall, it was a good day."

Tuesday's game will take place at 5 p.m. 

Also on Tuesday, Switzerland defeated Mexico 12-3 as Luis Zurkirchen scored six times despite a game effort from Mexico goalie Alec Gastony. Gastony made 17 saves for Mexico. Felix Stutz added a goal and three assists for Switzerland while Joe Vila led Mexico with a pair of goals.
