Rockies record at bottom of MLB

DENVER - After a 4-1 loss to the Padres, the Colorado Rockies now have the worst record in Major League Baseball.

Colorado sits 22 games back in the National League west, with 73 losses and just 46 wins. The only other teams with 70 or more losses are both in the American League East -- Houston has 70 and Texas has 72.

During Tuesday's loss San Diego pitcher Odrisamer Despaigne struck out eight and walked two, leading the Padres to a 4-1 victory. It is the Padres' fourth straight win.

Colorado's Yohan Flande six innings and gave up four hits and two runs as Colorado lost for the fifth time in six games.
