Colorado Rockies left fielder Carlos Gonzalez has been awarded a second Gold Glove.
Gonzalez was among the 18 players named Tuesday as recipients of a Gold Glove. He also was honored with one in 2010.
The awards for fielding excellence were presented Tuesday night by Rawlings. Gonzalez was selected through voting by NL managers and coaches.
"I feel honored and blessed with this award," Gonzalez expressed on his Twitter page. "Having a great defense in the outfield [is] very important for me. I work hard to be a help for my team."
Gonzalez earned the 12th Gold Glove in the Rockies' 20-season history, according to the Rockies website.
