Jeff Francis signs inks 1-year; $1.5 million deal to remain with Colorado Rockies

The Colorado Rockies sign former staff ace Jeff Francis to a one-year, $1.5 million deal.
The contract includes performance bonuses and incentives that could double his base contract depending on how well he plays, according to ColoradoRockies.com
The incentives are $100,000 for pitching 140 innings, $125,000 for pitching 150 innings, $150,000 for pitching 160 innings, $175,000 for 170 innings, $200,000 for 180 innings, $225,000 for 190 innings, $250,000 for 200 innings and $275,000 for 210 innings, reporting the team's website.
Francis would also receive a bonus for making the All-Star Game, winning the Gold Glove or Comeback Player of the Year award.
Francis, 31, led the Rockies starters in wins with six and in innings pitched with 113 last season.
He previously pitched for the Rockies from 2004-2010 and with the Kansas City Royals in 2011.
