Dante Bichette cites family reasons in resignation as Colorado Rockies hitting instructor

Dante Bichette will resign after one season as the Rockies hitting instructor, citing family reasons. The Rockies have called a 5:45 news conference to announce the decision.
First-year manager Walt Weiss brought Bichette onto his staff before the season, citing their long relationship and Bichette's passion and knowledge for hitting.
But multiple people close to the situation have said that Bichette has struggled with being away from his family this season. He has coached both his sons over the past several years. And returning to a major-league schedule was a jarring change.
