Colorado Rockies finalize 2013 field staff

Former Rockie Dante Bichette is hitting coach

DENVER -  

New Colorado Rockies manager Walt Weiss has finalized his 2013 field staff with more than four months away until spring training.

Weiss hired Stu Cole as the third-base coach and Rene Lachemann to be the first-base coach. Former Rockies outfielder Dante Bichette joined the staff as the Rockies hitting coach on Tuesday.

Returning to the club will be bench coach Tom Runnells, pitching coach Jim Wright, assistant pitching coach Bo McLaughlin and catching instructor/defensive positioning coach Jerry Weinstein.

The Rockies new skipper, Walt Weiss was hired on Nov. 8. He takes over a Rockies team that finished 64-98 last season.
