Pro Challenge: Cyclists go to Vail Pass

STEAMBOAT SPRINGS, Colo. - Cyclists are heading up Vail Pass as part of the USA Pro Challenge.

Friday's 10-mile stage will force partial westbound closures over one of the most-traveled passes in Colorado.

During the race, portions of Interstate-70 will be closed and no oversized and overweight vehicles are allowed to travel the pass westbound from Copper Mountain to U.S. Highway 24 while the race is under way.

Portions of U.S. Highway 6 will be closed through Vail in the afternoon.

After Thursday's stage, the current top five riders are:
