DENVER - With a 118-98 win over the Phoenix Suns, the Denver Nuggets have secured a Number 3 seed in the Western Conference of the NBA Playoffs.
Denver's Wilson Chandler scored 21 points in the win and Andre Iguodala another 20. Anthony Randolph led the team in rebounds Wednesday with 14.
The Nuggets outscored the Suns in both of the first two quarters, to go into halftime with a 66-40 lead. Although the Suns outscored the Nuggets in the second half, the 6 points were not enough to make up the deficit.
The Nuggets now face the 6-seed Golden State Warriors in the first round of the playoffs. Game 1 is Saturday night at Pepsi Center. The Nuggets won the regular season series over the Warriors 3-1.
The Nuggets finished with the regular season record in the team's NBA history at 57-25, including an NBA-best 38-3 at home. Additionally, they've won 23 straight home games.
