New York Jets teammates say that quarterback Tim Tebow is 'terrible'

New York Jets are 3-6 on season

NEW YORK - With the New York Jets struggling at 3-6, many fans are asking for Tebowtime, just not his teammates.

According to a story from the New York Daily News, a dozen Jets players and members of the organization believe that Tebow is nothing more than a novelty act.

"He's terrible," one anonymous defensive starter told the newspaper.

Offensive lineman Matt Slauson went a step further saying that the comparisons between Tebow and starter Mark Sanchez were, "not even close."

Slauson said this despite Sanchez throwing for a NFL-worst 52 percent completion rate, three percent worse than Cleveland Browns rookie quarterback Brandon Weeden.

Last season, Tebow led the Denver Broncos to their first AFC West Divisional title and playoff win since 2005.

He was traded in March to the Jets after the Broncos signed free-agent quarterback Peyton Manning.

Tebow has been used sparingly as the Jets gadget quarterback. Throwing for 40 yards on 5 for 6 attempts and has ran the ball 27 times for 92 yards with no touchdowns.
