Denver Broncos sign seven players to practice squad

ENGLEWOOD, COLO. - The Denver Broncos signed seven players to their practice squad on Sunday.

Six of the seven players signed competed with the Broncos during the preseason.

The exception was running back Edwin Baker.

Baker is a second-year player who was on the San Diego Chargers practice squad for the first 15 weeks last season. He also was active for the final two games with the Chargers.

Other than Baker, the Broncos signed tackle Paul Cornick, Guard Ben Garland, wide receiver Tavarres King, tackle Vinston Painter, wide receiver Gerell Robinson and defensive end John Youboty to the practice squad.

The Broncos also announced that they released fullback Jacob Hester.
