DENVER - In a little more than 148 days, the Colorado Rockies will take the field for their 20th season and they will do so with a new addition stitched onto their uniform.
The Rockies will wear a special logo commemorating their 20th anniversary in the major leagues throughout the 2013 season.
The diamond shaped logo has a purple background with the iconic mountains on top, the Rockies "CR" from the hats to sit at the base of the mountain peaks and the number 20 in the middle for the 20 years as a baseball franchise.
The patch will be worn on the right sleeve during every game next season. The logo will be worn on the right sleeve of the Rockies home white, alternate purple and road jerseys, and on the chest of the black sleeveless uniform.
This is the fifth patch the Rockies have worn. Previous patches included the Inaugural Season in 1993, Coors Field opening in 1995, All-Star Game in 1998 and the 10-year anniversary in 2002.
