BOULDER, Colo. -

Freshman Josh Scott scored 14 points in his first game for Colorado, leading the Buffaloes to a 74-59 victory over Wofford on Friday night in the season opener for both teams.

Askia Booker and Spencer Dinwiddie added 13 points apiece for the Buffaloes, who improved to 30-3 in home openers at the Coors Events Center, including a string of five straight. The school unveiled a banner before the game commemorating last season's Pac-12 tournament championship, when the Buffaloes won four games in four days to advance to the NCAA tournament for the first time in nine years.

Karl Cochran scored 22 points to lead Wofford, playing the first of seven straight games away from home to start the season. Spencer Collins added 16 points for the Terriers, who began the season with seven freshmen on their roster.
