DALLAS -- Denver Broncos cornerback Aqib Talib has never faced charges over a June shooting in which he was injured, but the headlines have never really disappeared.
Months after Dallas police ended their investigation, the department released video and photos from the night Talib limped into the hospital.
Police spent time investigating the June 5, 2016 shooting, but ultimately closed the case, assuming Talib shot himself in the leg.
Talib, although asked about the shooting frequently at the advent of the 2016 season, never gave deep detail. He said he would focus on football after the investigation closed. Throughout the season, the league never said whether or not they would close their investigation without handing down punishment.
Now, video has surfaced from the night Talib limped into the hospital. It shows a friend helping Talib into the emergency room.
It's unclear if the newly made public video will change the league's prospective.
