Source: Denver Broncos interested in a deal for New York Jets Darrelle Revis

Darrelle Revis tore his ACL last season

DENVER - So maybe the reason why the Denver Broncos wanted Elvis Dumervil to take a pay cut is to land one of the best cornerbacks in the NFL.

According to ESPN, the Broncos are interested in a deal for New York Jets All-Pro Darrelle Revis.

Revis, who is recovering from a torn ACL, has expressed interest in being traded from the Jets.

The move for Revis would come after the Broncos secondary was torched by the Baltimore Ravens for three touchdowns, including a gut-wrenching 70-yard score with less than 30 seconds remaining in the AFC Divisional game. The Broncos would lose to the Ravens 34-31 in double-overtime.

Denver has more than $30 million of salary cap space available.

On Friday, the Broncos met with cornerback Dunta Robinson before he signed a three-year contract with the Kansas City Chiefs.
