DENVER - Peyton Manning is in the giving mood. The Denver Broncos quarterback’s PeyBack Foundation announced Wednesday they will distribute over $1 million to 153 community agencies in Colorado, Tennessee, Louisiana and Indiana. These community organizations are supporting programs serving youth and at risk children and families.
“The mission and work of the PeyBack Foundation is something we are very passionate about and to be able to continue our growth through increased giving is very rewarding, said Peyton Manning. “This year, we are fortunate to be able to provide our largest donation total of $1 million to youth based community organizations. With this donation, now collectively throughout the years, we have awarded over $5.6 million in grants to 995 youth organizations in Colorado, Tennessee, Louisiana and Indiana.”
The PeyBack Foundation received 604 applications in 2014. 81 youth related charities throughout Colorado will receive $630,000, 32 Tennessee organizations will receive $175,000, 23 Louisiana organizations will receive $120,000 and 17 Indiana organizations will receive $75,000.
Manning started the non-profit corporation in 1999 to promote the future success of disadvantaged youth by assisting programs that promote leadership and growth opportunities for children at risk. The PeyBack Foundation has provided more than $10 million of impact to at risk youth through its grants and programs since its inception.
All requests for financial assistance are given careful consideration by the PeyBack Foundation and grants are awarded based on the unique merits of the individual agency, its goal, mission and programs. Each organization must complete a PeyBack Foundation grant application to be considered. Grant application information will be available online at www.peytonmanning.com in September.
