ESPN: Broncos open to free agents Knowshon Moreno, Shaun Phillips returning

DENVER - The Denver Broncos are open to re-signing some of the team's free agents, according Jeff Legwold with ESPN.

Legwold reported Tuesday that John Elway, the team's executive vice president of football operations/general manager, wouldn't rule out the return of some of the team's own free agents.

"In particular, he said he would be willing to consider running back Knowshon Moreno and defensive end Shaun Phillips," Legwold wrote.

So far the Broncos have resigned one of its own free agents -- wide receiver Andre Caldwell.

The Broncos picked up free agents linebacker DeMarcus Ware, safety T.J. Ward and defensive back Aqib Talib.

The Broncos have lost free agents Jeremy Mincey (DE, Dallas Cowboys), Zane Beadles (OL, Jacksonville Jaguars), Eric Decker (WR, New York Jets), Chris Kuper (Retirement) and Wesley Woodyard (LB, Tennessee Titans).

Some of the Broncos free agents who have not yet signed new contracts include Knowshon Moreno, Robert Ayers, Shaun Phillips, Champ Bailey, Quentin Jammer and Mike Adams.
