Denver Mayor Michael Hancock placed a friendly mayor-to-mayor wager on Super Bowl 50 with Charlotte Mayor Jennifer Roberts on Wednesday.
Mayor Hancock and Mayor Roberts bet quarterback football jerseys over the outcome of the big game.
Should the Broncos win, Roberts will wear a #18 Peyton Manning jersey and post a picture of herself on her Twitter account at @JenRobertsNC. Should the Broncos lose, Hancock will post a picture of himself on his Twitter account @MayorHancock wearing a #1 Cam Newton jersey.
"Denver is looking forward to an action-packed Super Bowl against the Carolina Panthers this Sunday," Mayor Hancock said. "With our high powered offense led by Peyton Manning and the commanding defense led by Von Miller, we are confident our Denver Broncos will prevail and I am confident I won’t be wearing a #1 Panthers jersey anytime soon!"
