Denver Broncos playbook breakdown: Knowshon Moreno's 28-yard run in AFC Championship Game

Broncos beat New England 26-16 in AFC Championship

DENVER - As the Denver Broncos continue to prepare for their Sunday night bout against the Seattle Seahawks in Super Bowl 48, we’ll break down some of the Broncos best plays that have defined their season.

One of the most important plays was Knowshon Moreno’s 28-yard run against the New England Patriots in the AFC Championship Game. The Broncos were facing a 3rd and long situation with the ball at the Patriots 39-yard line. An audible by Peyton Manning exposed the Patriots defense, which led to the long run by Moreno. A couple plays later, the Broncos drove the ball into the end zone as Manning connected with Jacob Tamme on a one-yard pass to put the Broncos up 10-0.
