Manning throws 51 touchdown passes in 1 season

Peyton Manning just broke Tom Brady's record for the most touchdown passes in a season -- after throwing his 51st during the Broncos game against the Houston Texans at Reliant Stadium on Sunday.

-- First quarter --

Knowshon Moreno's first carry goes for 31 yards to move his season total to a career-best 970 yards, per the Broncos.

The Broncos score first with a 32-yard field goal from Matt Prater.  It's 3-0 Broncos.

Linebacker Von Miller has a knee injury. His return is questionable, the Broncos tweeted at 11:27 a.m.

The Texans' R. Bullock kicks 54-yard field goal to tie the game at 3-3 with 2:06 left in the first quarter.

Broncos wide receiver Eric Decker walks off the field with help after a hard hit with 1:11 left in the first quarter.

Von Miller is out with a knee injury, the Broncos tweeted at 11:40 a.m.

Broncos center Steve Vallos is being evaluated for a concussion.

Manning has reached 5,000-yard passing mark for the first time. This is the 7th time in NFL history a player has reached that total -- per Patrick Smyth, Denver Broncos Exec. Dir. of Media Relations.

Demaryius Thomas caught an 18-yard catch which put him over 100 receiving yards today, the Broncos said.

Prater kicked a field goal to make the score 13-6 Broncos.

Prater kicked 44-yard field goal with :05 left in the second quarter, making the score 16-6.

Touchdown Texans: Matt Schaub throws 15 yard to touchdown to K. Martin. 16-13 Broncos.

10-yard penalty on Denver's C. Clark for illegal use of hands.

Manning passed down the middle to Eric Decker to gain 6 yards.

Manning passed short right to D. Thomas for 11 yards.
