DENVER, Colo - Free agent defensive end Elvis Dumervil received an official offer from the Baltimore Ravens on Thursday, while free agent defensive ends John Abraham and Dwight Freeney visited Dove Valley. Dumervil now has offers from the Ravens and Broncos, as John Elway said the Broncos made a new offer to Dumervil after the fax malfunction last week. NFL sources say Dumervil will choose between the Broncos and Ravens, even though the Steelers and Dolphins have also showed interest.
The Broncos met with Abraham and Freeney and will sign one of them if Dumervil does not take the team's offer. Abraham will be 35 in May. He has 19.5 sacks in the last 2 years playing for the Atlanta Falcons. Freeney is 33 years old and has 13.5 sacks the last 2 years playing for the Colts. Freeney is a former teammate of Peyton Manning in Indianapolis.
