DENVER - Although Broncos cornerback Champ Bailey's participation in Thursday's NFL season opener remains a game-day decision, the team captain was on the practice field with his teammates Tuesday.
While Bailey's official status was "did not participate," the team posted photos of Bailey stretching and jogging with his teammates. The 12-time Pro Bowl player wasn't wearing pads but did wear his helmet.
Bailey is recovering from a foot sprain sustained in the second quarter of the preseason loss at Seattle on Aug. 17.
On Monday, Bailey was named team captain and attended practice but did not participate.
Bailey has said he's feeling better every day but the decision about if he will play on Thursday against the Baltimore Ravens is "still up in the air."
"He’s day-to-day. Like I said, he did not participate today and final injury report comes out tomorrow," Coach John Fox said about Bailey.
