CENTENNIAL, Colo. -- Von Miller did not want to hear it. He dragged Andrew Luck to the turf last Sunday and the Colts quarterback offered praise.

"He did, and I was like, 'get back.' We're coming all night long and trying to get a win," Miller said. "He's a good guy. But I can't feel sorry for quarterbacks. I am out there to make plays."

Even by Miller's standards, last Sunday stood out. He posted three sacks, stripped the ball leading to a Shane Ray touchdown and delivered a tackle for a loss. This despite working through double teams. The joke that Twitter can't even block him is becoming less funny to opposing linemen every day.

The league recognized Miller's work, naming him AFC Defensive Player of the Week. It marks the third time he has won the award, tying Karl Mecklenburg's franchise record.

"He's the best I have ever coached," boss Gary Kubiak said of Miller's pass-rushing skills.

Miller, who spent his off day filming a commercial for Geek Squad, owns four sacks in two games, half of the team's eight sacks. He will face even more hurdles to the quarterback this week with teammate DeMarcus Ware out with a broken right forearm. Miller expects Shane Ray and Shaquil Barrett to step up. But Miller is hard to contain over 60 minutes.
