Broncos' T.J. Ward wanted on misdemeanor assault warrant for incident at strip club

DENVER - Denver Broncos Safety T.J. Ward is wanted on a misdemeanor assault warrant.

Court records show the incident occurred on May 10 at 3480 S. Galena St., an address that corresponds to a strip club called PT's All Nude. The charges are listed as disturbing the peace and assault.

The warrant was entered in court at 12:57 p.m.

The Denver Broncos responded to the breaking news with this statement: "We have been aware of this issue and will continue to review all of the facts."

Ward agreed to a $23 million ($14 million guaranteed) deal with the Broncos during the opening hours of this year's free agency period in March. At the time, VP and GM of Football Operations John Elway said he believed Ward would bring "energy and toughness to our secondary."

Ward had 129 tackles and two interceptions for Cleveland last year.

During his first interview as a Bronco, Ward said the chance to play with Peyton Manning was a big factor in his decision.
