DENVER — A Colorado family received reprieve from a medical nightmare when the Denver Broncos reached out to help a 6-year-old with an inoperable brain tumor achieve his dreams.

Bryce Caldwell, 6, was invited along with his family to visit Dove Valley and sign with the Broncos as the team's newest player. BroncosTV covered the touching event, which depicted Caldwell meeting his favorite players, playing football and even trying on Derek Wolfe's sandals.

Caldwell's family has been dealing with the news since the boy's diagnosis in December of 2016. The family continues to pursue medical options and stick together.

In the six months since learning of the tumor, the community in which Caldwell lives has raised $11,500 to aid in medical expenses. The time and experience of getting to meet the Broncos, however, was priceless.
