Cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie was taken off the field on a cart at Broncos practice Wednesday after suffering a left ankle sprain. He's expected to miss 2-3 weeks.
The injury was sustained during a one-on-one drill when Rodgers-Cromartie went up against rookie wide receiver Quincy McDuffie. He landed awkwardly on his left leg and left the field shortly afterward.
The Broncos expect that he will be ready to play in the season opener against the Baltimore Ravens.
