DENVER - Headed to the first Super Bowl of his 15-year career, Cornerback Champ Bailey says the opportunity is the one he was waiting for.
"That's why I stuck around, I knew I would get another shot at it (The Super Bowl)," he told reporters Friday. "Here we are."
Following the Broncos' 26-16 win over New England in the AFC championship game, Bailey wore a broad smile but downplayed his emotions.
There is "still another game to play," he said at the time.
Friday outside Dove Valley, Bailey was asked again about his feelings.
"Unpredictable," the cornerback responded. "(I'm) just gonna take it for what it is."
Just prior to Bailey's appearance, Wide Receiver Eric Decker also took questions from reporters. In one answer he praised Bailey and other members of the defensive backfield and referenced the infamous claims of greatness from Seahawks cornerback Richard Sherman.
"I think we have some of the best cornerbacks on this team, which helps us prepare for anyone," Decker said.
Wide Receiver Wes Welker also commented on Sherman Friday, saying, "Richard Sherman is a good player, we just need to execute the way we can execute."
The Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks are scheduled to travel to New Jersey over the weekend and will
