BB Training Week 5: Fueling your body

You start to pick up the pace in week four so week five is a good time to start talking about how to fuel your body as you train for a 10K.

Skechers Performance GOelite athlete Patrick Rizzo recommends eating the rainbow.

Eating an assortment of whole and healthy foods everyday will only benefit your training.

Here are a few examples:

  • Eggs
  • Whole grains
  • Lean proteins
  • Variety of fruits and vegetables
  • Some dairy
  • Proteins like peanut butter, beans and grains

It’s that simple. It’s also helpful for preventing injuries and giving your body the fuel it needs to train.
