Denver, CO -- (Sports Network) - Andrew Hooper scored 19 points off the bench to lead the Denver Pioneers to an 87-65 victory over the UL-Monroe Warhawks in a Sun Belt Conference battle at Magness Arena.

Nate Rohnert added 16 points and eight assists for the Pioneers (8-3, 2-0 SBC), while Brian Stafford posted 14 points, to go along with six assists. Rob Lewis tallied 12 points in the win, while Chase Hallam contributed 11 points.

Dynile Forbes led the way for ULM (3-8, 0-2) with 21 points, while Tony Hooper chipped in 15 points in the loss.

Denver went into halftime with a 42-35 lead after shooting 63.6 percent from the floor and connecting on 8-of-14 attempts from behind the arc.

The Pioneers were even better in the second half, as they shot a staggering 77.3 percent from the floor, en route to a 22-point victory.

Denver's bench tallied 40 points in the contest, while UL-Monroe's reserves posted just 18 points.
