(Sports Network) - The Montreal Canadiens and Minnesota Wild exchanged a pair of forwards on Monday, with the Habs' Guillaume Latendresse heading to Minnesota for the Wild's Benoit Pouliot.

Latendresse has struggled in his fourth pro season, tallying just two goals and three points over 23 games. The 22-year-old Quebec native has racked up 48 goals and 85 points in 232 career contests, all with Montreal.

Pouliot, who is currently on injured reserve, has two goals and four points in 14 games this year. The 23-year-old has picked up nine goals and 18 points in 65 games over parts of four seasons in Minnesota.

Both players, according to the Montreal Gazette, are making the exact same salary at $803,250.
