Rockies Reliever Embree Leaves Game

Denver, CO -- (Sports Network) - Colorado Rockies relief pitcher Alan Embree left Friday's 4-1 loss to the Atlanta Braves in the seventh inning with a fractured tibia in his right leg.Embree was injured after a line-drive from Martin Prado hit him flush on the leg. After evaluation from team training staff on the mound, he was helped to a cart, then transferred to an ambulance which took him to a local hospital for x-rays.
He is scheduled to have surgery on Saturday and is expected to miss the remainder of the season.
