Nuggets' Dahntay Jones Undergoes Successful Surgery

(Sports Network) - The Denver Nuggets announced that swingman Dahntay Jones underwent successful surgery on his right shoulder on Monday and is expected to be back to full capacity within four to six weeks.

Jones had an arthroscopic procedure to remove a bone spur, which was performed by Dr. Steve Traina.

The five-year veteran averaged 5.4 points, 2.1 rebounds and 1.0 assists in 79 regular season games in 2008, including 71 starts.

In 16 playoff starts this season, the former Duke product averaged 7.0 points and 2.4 rebounds, while helping the Nuggets reach the Western Conference finals. Denver lost to the Los Angeles Lakers in six games.
