DENVER -- Linas Kleiza was the spark in the first half of Game 2, but Nuggets fans are ready for fire with Game 3 at home Saturday. With 16 points, Kleiza tripled his 2009 playoff average of 5.7 points per game. And his countrymen and women in Denver couldn't be happier."He's a celebrity for our country," said Zilvinas Sutkus, who left Lithuania for Denver in 2001. "We try. We have some talent that comes out of the small country and it's nice to see us kind of be noticed around."
Sutkus has said he met Klaeiza, the pride of Lithuania once, and found him very nice and polite. But it's because Kleiza played so hard Thursday that Sutkus was ready to talk about the third-year pro on Friday."Yeah, it's definitely nice seeing him step up like that and take the lead once in a while and take the big shots," Sutkus said. "I'm sure he made everybody proud."Fans were coming and going from the Pepsi Center Friday with new Nuggets gear. The timing is perfect for the Sportsfan on Blake Street."This morning I had people outside waiting to get in. So it was instant excitement," said John Brennan, company president. "It's a wild card. There's no doubt about it. I mean, this could change things, depending on how far the Nuggets go and on how we manage our business while this happens."Brennan has said his sporting goods company, serving Colorado, Arizona, Wyoming, and Kansas, could be closed by July.Fans have a chance to see Game 3 for themselves, despite Games 3, 4, and 6 (if necessary) already being sold out.On Friday fans can show up in front of the arena between 11 a.m. and noon to try and get a lottery number, and a chance to buy up to two standing-room only tickets for Game 3 for $75 or $40 each.
