POSTED: 3:36 pm MST March 7, 2009

(Sports Network) - Denis Clemente tallied a contest-best 24 points to power the Kansas State Wildcats past the Colorado Buffaloes, 76-64, in Big 12 play at Bramlage Coliseum.

Clemente hit on 8-of-18 shots from the floor and 4-of-8 from downtown, as KSU (21-10, 9-7 Big12) improved to 16-3 at home. Jamar Samuels came of the bench and logged 17 points and five helpers, and Jacob Pullen had 11 points and five steals in the winning effort.

Cory Higgins notched 22 points and three assists for Colorado (9-21, 1-15), which suffered its 11th consecutive loss. Nate Tomlinson and Dwight Thorne II each chipped in with 10 points, but they also had six turnovers apiece.

In the first half, Colorado shot an unconscious 73.7 percent from the floor and held a 41-38 edge at the intermission.

It was a completely different story in the second stanza, as the Buffaloes made only 33.3 percent of their attempts from the floor, allowing KSU to come away with the 12-point win.

With the outcome, the Buffaloes have now dropped 29 straight games on the road in Big 12 play.
