Nashville, TN -- (Sports Network) - Wojtek Wolski scored twice to help the Colorado Avalanche to a 2-1 win over the Nashville Predators.Milan Hejduk set up both of Wolski's goals and Andrew Raycroft was sharp between the pipes for the Avalanche, who limped into the Music City on a three-game losing streak. Raycroft won his fifth straight start with a 22-save performance and is 7-1-0 in limited duty this season. Rookie left wing Ryan Jones had the lone goal for Nashville, which has lost a season-high five games in a row and 10 of 13 overall. Pekka Rinne was solid for the Predators, allowing two goals on 21 shots.
Summoned from Milwaukee of the American Hockey League earlier in the day, Jones opened the scoring at 7:30 of the first period. J.P. Dumont's bid from inside the left faceoff circle was turned aside, but Jones drove hard to the net and stuffed home the rebound. Wolski evened things up for Colorado, one-timing a Hejduk pass behind Rinne with 5:35 to play in the frame. The former first-rounder gave the Avalanche the lead with 4:13 remaining in the middle stanza, lifting a backhander past the sprawled netminder. Raycroft made six saves in the third period and a holding penalty on Nashville captain Jason Arnott with under two minutes left in the game effectively ruined any chance of a comeback. Game Notes Before the game, Colorado placed veteran defenseman Adam Foote on injured reserve with a triceps problem...Avalanche forward Ian Laperriere (back) also missed Tuesday's contest...Predators defenseman Shea Weber played in his 200th career game...Colorado won the season series with Nashville (3-1-0), for the first time since going 2-1-1 against the Preds in 2002-03.
