Denver Broncos wide receiver Brandon Marshall has an injured right arm that athletic trainers said could take several weeks to heal.

Marshall told the Rocky Mountain News he slipped on a McDonald's bag and put his hand through an entertainment system, while vacationing at a resort with his family. He described his injury as "a little cut on my arm."

The NFL Network is reporting Marshall told the team he was wrestling with family members when he got hurt.

He repeated the explanation in an interview on satellite radio.

Broncos Head Athletic Trainer Steve Antonopulos said Marshall lacerated an artery, a vein, a nerve and two tendons and three muscles.

Antonopulos said rehabilitation will begin in six weeks and recovery is expected to take three to four months.
