Career Highlights

The Californian also made history in 2007, becoming just the second woman -- joining Marita Koch -- to ever win three gold medals at a single World Championships. Running Roots

Felix first started running as a freshman in high school. She soon became a five-time state high school champion and then, as a senior, finished second in the 200m at the U.S. Track and Field Championships. Felix chose to forgo competing in college and instead signed with Adidas. The shoe company then paid for the sprinter's tuition to attend USC.
